superweek race 7/7
cycling classic in 5th in the gc, 4th in the sprints
competition.
The Hub women attacked all day long on superweeks's final
stage, but couldn't quite make it stick. Hub's Leeanne
Manderson and Dale Tye both took long turns off the front,
with the others all taking shots as well. Ultimately, it
would come down to one final sprint. Brooke would place
12th getting into the day's money, sprinting without a
leadout for the first time all week. But the General
classification was set, as were the sprint points.
Another fantastic Superweek. a huge thanks to all of our
sponsors who sent us here and made it possible for us. a
huge thanks to soigner jennifer wolfson who is sticking
around for the cat4 series. a huge thanks to our mechanic
pete hill for keeping the sram/cannondales running in top
shape.
while the women are tired, its not a lot of time off. ahead
for the hub racing women:
July 27 2008: International Tour de Toona - Altoona, Pa
August 2 2008: Presbyterian Hospital Invitational Criterium
- Charlotte, NC
August 3 2008: Hanes Park Classic - Winston-Salem, NC
August 17 2008: USA Cycling Professional National
Championships - Downers Grove, Il
Thats all from Superweek.
Thanks for following our adventure.

superweek day 6/7...
solidifies her in 5th in the GC going into the final day of
the international cycling classic.
Brooke has ridden consistently and strong all week long,
and the team has given it all to put her at the front of
the sprints every day. brooke's gc placing will be hub's
4th high gc placing at the international cycling classic in
as many years. today, on the superweek's final day for the
women, the team gets to unleash and go for a stage win.
watch for hub racers like dale tye and elizabeth morse hill
to be jumping off the front all race long.

superweek day 5/7...
together through the worst of days. you must understand
where you are in the peleton both before, during, and after
the day's race. you must plan for every race, and consider
the race as the full 7 day event, not just one day. Day 5
at superweek was the day when it all went south. but
despite missing the break, loosing riders to the 3rd group
on the major split, crashing coming up to the sprint, and
in fact moving from 4th to 6th in the gc, Hub Racing in
fact now finds itself in posistion to try to put Brooke
O'Connor on the podium on the final day. mathematics can be
fun.
the crash happened with about 2 to go and brooke hit the
ground... hub's sherri stedje and arley kemmerer came back
for her and dragged her to the finish to get those valuable
last points at the finish line. not every team ahead of hub
in the gc had the same ability and a few of hub's rivals
found themselves out of the race. such is the nature of a
tour.
Now closer to 3rd then before the race began, and our major
rivals for that spot behind us, Hub will now try to put
Brooke O'Connor into the top of the final sprints. 2 good
days saturday and sunday and Hub will find itself once
again on the podium of the international cycling classic.
its not going to be easy to do, but a full team is always
better then the sum of its parts, and hub is one of the few
still putting a full team out on the race course.

superweek race 4/7...
refreshment after the race.
Brooke broke away with 4 laps to go and did some damage to
her rivals, but it didnt stick. she held on for 15th in the
sprint with hub's elizabeth morse hill and sherri stedje
also in the results.
Brooke moves up in the standings and now sits in a dead heat
for 4th in the gc, as well as 4th in the points
competition.

moving up at superweek...day 2/7
on tuesday, Hub Racing let GC contender Jennette Williams
(hpc powered by altarum) ride away, instead trying to make
the yellow jesrsey do the work. with verducci trying to
keep jennete under control, Hub's Brooke O'Connor, who also
broke away for a time, was able to take 3rd in the field
sprint off teammate's sherri stedje's wheel. Brooke moves
up a spot into 6th in the overall general classification.
sherri held on for 9th on the day.
1. Theresa Cliff-Ryan (Verducci Breakaway) 35 points
2. Jenette Willams (HPC powered by Altarum) 33 points ...
